The Universal Postal Union letter writing competition will be conducted on 8 January 2012 with the objective to develop faculty in composition and subtelty of thought amongs the young people and to contribute to the strengthening of international friendship.
Theme: "Write a letter to an athlete or sports figure you admire to explain what the Olympic Games mean to you".
Rules
Prizes
First (one) : Rs. 2000/- and certificate
Second (one) : Rs. 1500/- and certificate
Third (one) : Rs. 1000/- and certificate
Consaltion : Rs. 250/- to the best entry from each postal circle and certificate
The best entry at the National Level shall qualify as the official Indian Entry for the International Level Competition.
The UPU shall select and award the winning entries.
Every entry must have the following details on its first page in respect of the candidate
- Candidate's Name:
- Date of Birth
- Male/Female
- Father's/Guardian's Name
- Name of School/Institution
- Full Postal Address
All the candidates shall be required to apply in person to the Chier Postmaster General/Postmaster General/School Principal in duplicate. Both copies must have a passport size photographs in the following format on plain paper.
