Become India’s next National Spelling Champion
India’s largest spelling competition returns to celebrate young spellers. Win the national title, witness the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Washington D.C in 2015 and win many more cash prizes.

Eligibility : Students of Class V - IX
There will be four levels
The competition starts with Level 1 tests conducted in schools and online, followed by a Level 2 online round, followed by two rounds of Level 3 that are invigilated online rounds and finally culminates into an exciting televised Level 4 National championship.

Online Test
Season 7 of Classmate Spell Bee makes it possible for every eligible student in India to take the test in Level 1 by taking it online. *Top scorers from the online test will also be invited to Level 2 of the competition. If a student belongs to a city that is not part of list of cities being reached out to via the School Contact Program, he / she can participate by taking the online test by choosing his/ her preferred city of participation for being invited to Level 3 (if he / she qualifies for the same after Level 1 and Level 2).

Level 1: Test format

Time bound online MCQ test of 75 words. Test duration of 10 minutes.
In case of a tie the system built-in tie breaker question will decide the winners. System generated randomizer will be applied in case of further ties.
Participants will have to log on to the website www.classmatespellbee.in, click on the participate or Level 1 button on the home page, register, agree to terms and conditions and then take the test.
The Participants will be responsible to make all arrangement for taking the test which includes the computer, internet connection, power back up etc. the organizer are not responsible for any technical failure from the participant's end.

Level 2 City Finals
Online Test

In this level, short-listed students from Level 1 are informed via email, phone calls, SMS or through school representatives to compete online city specific on the website: www.classmatespellbee.in. This date and time will be communicated to the students in advance.

Level 2: Test format
Time bound online MCQ test of 75 words.
Test duration of 7.5 minutes.
The test will be kept live for students in each city on a particular day for a duration of 8 hour (12:00 noon – 8:00 pm)
In case of a tie the system built-in tie breaker question will decide the winners. System generated randomizer will be applied in case of further ties.
All participants in a city will have to take the test on a given day. No extension or revision of date will be done once they are declared.
Participants will have to log on to the website www.classmatespellbee.in, click on the Level 2 Test link on the home page (located on the drop down once you click on the 'Participate' tab on the top panel), log in using their unique ID and password, agree to terms and conditions and then take the test.

Level 3 Semifinals
Shortlisted students from Level 2 will be invited to take part in Level 3 of the competition.
Level 3: Test format
This level will have 2 rounds.
Round 1
Time bound online MCQ test of 60 spelling based multiple choice questions.
Test duration of 10 minutes.
Students with top 10 scorers from this round per city progress to Round 2 of the Level 3.
Round 2
Time bound online MCQ test of 45 spelling based multiple choice questions.
Test duration of 10 minutes.
Students with top 16 scores from across the country from this round progress to Level 4: National Finals.

Level 4 National Finals
Round 1:
The 16 students are divided into groups of four each.
Round 2:

he winners from each of the four groups compete in the Grand Finale. The winner of this round is declared Classmate Spell Bee National Champion – Season 7.
