Today’s youth has many dreams for this country; dreams that deserve to be heard. It would be
worth venturing into their world of dreams. The period between 12 January 2016 and 23 January
2016, which happen to be the birthdays of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
respectively, is chosen to provide a platform to the children of this country to share their dreams
for Bharat.
Therefore, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has decided to
conduct a nationwide Expression Series on Mere Sapno ka Bharat (India of My Dreams). The
details are as follow:
1. Target group- Age: 6-18 years, Classes: I to XII
2. Date and Venue: To be organised from 12 January to 23 January 2016 on the spot in the
premises of the school so that children’s original and natural thinking can emerge.
3. Topic: (India of My Dreams)
4. Modes of Expression:
4.1 Schools would encourage their students to express their “dreams” in the following
modes:
Slogan writing
Composition/Essay writing (250 words for Classes I to VIII and 500 words for
Classes IX to XII.)
Poetry writing
Poster/Painting
Skit/Drama
4.2 Children shall be free to express their ideas in one or more of the above modes of
expression.
4.3 The Slogan, Composition, Essay and Poetry can be written in Hindi, English or any
language.
5. Methodology:
5.1 The schools may distribute the photocopy of the response sheet (annexure I) to the
students.
5.2 If the response sheet is not being used, the schools may make the jpeg/jpg/doc file
of entries and upload. Such files must have the name, school name, address, contact
number, e-mail ID of the student.
6. Submission: After conducting the activities, the schools may upload the entries through the
online link (refer to annexure II) to be provided at www.cbseacademic.in from 25 January
to 30 January 2016.
All entries shall be submitted to the Ministry of Human Resource Development and after analysis
the most frequently expressed “dreams” shall be compiled in a booklet. For any query, you may call
