The 2019 ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival Blogging Contest presents an opportunity for writers to submit creative pieces on the themes given below. The best of all entries received will be published on the festival website and its related Teamwork Arts websites and partners leading up to the event and at the end of the competition.
Themes Are :
1.Women Empowerment
Can women be fully empowered without partly disempowering men?
2. Climate Change
What will it take for us to take climate change seriously?
3. Migration
In a world facing complex conflicts, unequally distributed environmental collapse, and unchecked climate change, is the concept of national borders outmoded?
4. Artificial Intelligence
What is the role of the worker when their work is done by AI?
Eligibility
Age limit to submit entries is 18 years and above.
Guidelines for the competition:
- Each person can submit a maximum of three entries. However, if an entry is selected, no further entries will be accepted. Selected participants will be informed via email.
- Writing can be in any form (poetry, story, book review, author analysis, etc.) and must relate to one of the themes of the competition.
- Entries must be sent as a Word document as an attachment with an email (No .pdf please). Please use Times New Roman Font in size.
- Include your name, age, occupation, city of residence, contact number and email address within the document itself. The maximum word limit is 1000 words per entry. 50 lines in case of a poem.
- Entries must not contain any vulgar, obscene, defamatory, pornographic or violent content or content detrimental to India’s national interest.
- Deadline to submit entries is 15th December 2018.
- Announcement of winners will be on 20th December, 2018.
Please note: Entries not pertaining to the theme will be disqualified. All entries must be emailed to blogger@jaipurliteraturefestival.org with the subject 'Jaipur Literature Festival Blog: 2019.'
