The Sports Analytics Hackathon presented by Shaastra, IIT Madras and Global Sports Commerce (GSC) will bring innovative and analytical minds together and create groundbreaking solutions in the sports industry. The hackathon is an event focused on impact, centered around Sports Analytics. It will have an online round followed by an offline finale where finalists are required to present their solutions at the SportsTech Summit 2019.
The participants will have to provide solutions to the problem statements that will go live on 10th November. The problem statements would be based on Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. The hackathon will be held for a duration of 2 weeks and participants can avail mentorship, which would be provided by technical experts from GSC. Top 5 teams will be shortlisted to present their solutions in the finale which will be held during the SportsTech Summit 2019. Computer vision plays a key role in the world of sports. Some of the best-known current application areas are in, sports analysis for broadcast and behind-the-scenes applications in areas such as training, coaching and providing assistance to the referee during a game.

Artificial Intelligence has brought disruptive solutions to almost every imaginable field, and the same holds true with sports. AI is helping athletes and teams prepare better for competitive matches as it uses advanced analytics to study opponents.

This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 3 members in your team.
The hackathon will start at Nov 10, 2018 10:00 AM IST and end at Nov 24, 2018 11:59 PM IST, you can work on your hack only during the allotted time.
