STARTUP WITH GERMAN - Competition for Students and Teachers

Students
You enjoy learning German and want to showcase your skills through a project on "Environment", "Hobbies" or "Participation through Internet"?

You want to futher improve your German- preferably in Germany itself?

Then you are exactly at the right place! Have a look around and explore how to win - with a lot of creativity and a good idea - a three-week language course in Germany.

Eligibility
Your German skills are at A2 or better
You are learning at a PASCH school, a Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) school or another private or public school in India
You are between the age of 12 and 14

Then grab your pens and your computer. Select any one from the following Webquest-Links and follow the instructions :

Prizes

There are 31 scholarships to be won. So go ahead and create an exciting new project, send it to us and you could be one of the 31 students who will travel to Germany for a three-week language course. The highlight will be a visit in Germany’s exciting capital Berlin that you can explore for yourself.

Submission Guidelines

Please note that entries should be sent through the school ONLY. Any entries sent directly will not be accepted.

The size of your file should not exceed 20 MB.

Only one entry per individual is permitted.
While submitting your project please mention in the subject field the name of your project and region:

Umwelt/Hobby/Internet-South (if you are a student in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh or Telengana)
Umwelt/Hobby/Internet-West (if you are a student in Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Chattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh)
Umwelt/Hobby/Internet-East (if you are a student in West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Sikkim, Jharkhand or in the North-East
Umwelt/Hobby/ Internet- North (if you are a student in Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir

 For the participating students, parents are expected to sign a declaration, saying that they agree to their ward participating in the competition. A declaration form is available on the website. Parents should please download the same, fill it up, sign, scan it and send it along with the entry.

Teachers
You are a German teacher with great enthusiasm for the German language and high professional requirements.
Your profession is your calling and you are ready to engage with passion for your lessons, so that your students can learn German successfully. They would like to extend their knowledge of German, even in Germany, in order to get an up-to-date picture of Germany.
Then you are exactly right in the competition (India's best German teacher in 2017).  The price is the participation in a three-week course in Germany.

Who can participate
- Indian teachers with completed B2 level teaching German
  * PASCH schools (FIT and DSD schools)
  * Public schools (for example in the context of the project
  * All other schools in India as well as adults and universities

Can not participate:
  - Teachers who speak German in their native language
  - Teachers who teach at one of the Indian Goethe Institutes


Prizes
The following four price categories are given once:
Best teacher at a private school
Best teacher at a public school
Best teacher in the adult area
Best Young Teacher / Best Young Teacher (maximum 3 years experience as a German teacher)

The four selected teachers will be invited to Germany for three weeks, in order to expand their knowledge of German as part of a continuing education course and to get to know Germany at the moment. The highlight is the accompaniment of the winners of the competition "Start Up With German" for a visit to the capital Berlin. Are you interested? Then nothing like ran to the pens and the computer!
