CREST is the annual inter B-School festival of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon. The festival features an abundance of events and competitions that juxtaposes various spheres of management education such as marketing, finance, operations, strategy and Human Resources.
Great Lakes hosts this event annually at their Gurgaon campus and convenes an esteemed panel of judges for the respective events based on the current theme.

The Events are:
1. Innovacia – Turning Your Dreams Into Reality
This event will provide a platform to management students and young entrepreneurs to present and pitch their business ideas. Candidates with entrepreneurial skills will pitch an original business idea to a panel of potential investors, business experts and mentors. Amongst all the entries received, few of the best ideas will get a chance to present in the final round.
Competition Prizes:
First Prize: Rs 30,000 worth
Second Prize: Rs 15,000 worth
Entry and Registration:
Anyone who has an entrepreneurial idea for a start-up company and would like to pitch to a panel of judges for the purpose of possible seed funding , potential prize money, network building and feedback
Submissions can be made individually or in teams (Max 4 Individuals in a team)
The submission of the idea should be in the form of an elevator pitch (Video format – 2 to 3mins)
Each individual or team can only pitch for one idea or concept
The final round of the event will be held at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon
Only the members of the selected team may pitch to the panel of judges or answer questions from the judges and/or audience
You will be notified ahead of time if you are or not selected to pitch in the final round
Eligibility
Entries will only be entertained from current students pursuing Graduate/Post Graduate courses from recognised institutes.
The pitched idea or concept must be the original work of the individual or team pitching it
Any idea that classifies as fake, insincere, offensive, immoral, or unethical will be disqualified
The Idea Pitch organizing committee has the sole discretion to disqualify and/or remove any individual or teams for any reason that it seems appropriate before and/or during the pitch competition for violation of any rules
2. Mercatus Arena
ROUND 1
• An Online Quiz comprising 20 MCQ’s which will be based on exceptional marketing strategies applied in past
• The duration of the quiz will be 20 minutes
ROUND 2
• Qualifying teams would be given a case study to showcase their marketing skills for a real-life like simulated problem, which will be shared via email
FINAL CAMPUS ROUND
• Teams will be asked to present a detailed marketing strategy with presentation which may include creative video/skit for a product or service. They would be evaluated on the basis of overall creativity, presentation skills and effectiveness of solution suggested relevant to the case
RULES & GUIDELINES
• Team Size: 2 to 4 members per team
Students from MBA, PGDM, and PGPM can participate
Students forming a team should be from the same college
• Each team would be given a maximum of 10 minutes to present their strategy to our audience and judges
• In case of any issues, the decision of the Organizers will be final and binding

3. Extrapolation
It’s all about Patterns!
Analytics is all about asking the right questions. Most of the solutions come by asking the right questions. It’s all about how you ask the right question to the data!! If you ask the right question the data will speak to you. So, ask questions. Show your structured thought process. Be relevant!!! Jump the hoop of providing relevant solutions to business problems!! Real life business problems don’t come with questions!!! It comes with a problem and you need to find the questions and provide a solution to the problem from the data. So, form a team of 2 (Two) and register for Extrapolation – The Analytics event of Great Lakes, Gurgaon.
4. Mergermania
CREST 7.0 unveils ‘Mergermania’, a M&A frenzy event, where you can now know how good is your valuation. You will get the opportunity to get your investment banking pitches judged by esteemed industry experts and seasoned faculty with rich academic and corporate experience. 5. Optimax
Operations management is that part of an organization, which is concerned with the transformation of a range of inputs into an optimal output having a requisite quality level.
An opportunity for students across various B-Schools in India to bring out solutions and suggestions which are Optimax for real-time industry problems and help them achieve operational excellence.
6. Me’lange
This event is designed to test the knowledge in domains of Human Resource Consulting through a set of activities that would include a quiz and a situational analysis.
7. Bulls n Bears
Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon presents its most coveted event for all stock market enthusiasts. Participants who are allured by the financial markets are the eyes that we need to attract.
8. Samvaad
