INTER SCHOOL DANCE COMPETITION
15 – 16 MARCH 2018, 10.00AM TO 04.30PM

I. Competition between Schools of Pondicherry University including Centers at Karaikal and Andaman, Community Colleges atMabeand Pondicherry.
2. Dean of School is the responsible authority to select the Dance team fi'Om their School.
3. School has to send only one team for each dance; short listing of teams may be done at the school level itself.
4. Indian Classical and Folk dances considered for competition are:

CLASSICAL DANCE
 BHARATHANATYAM
 MOHINIYATTAM
 KUCHIPUDI
 NORTH EASTERN
 ODISSI
 KATHAK

FOLK DANCE
 KARAGHAM
 TAPPETA GULLU
 KOLKALI
 NORTH EASTERN FOLK
 BHANGRA
 DHANDIA

Award:

• Three best teams will be chosen in each dance.

• By specially invited judges to judge the perfom1ances.

• Three prizes (1, ll and ill) will be selected for each dance.

• Prizes and Certificates will be given.

Overall Trophy (VCs Trophy)

• Over all trophy will be given to the School which has scored highest points.

• The tesm which won first, second and third prize will be assigned 10, 5 and 3 points respectively.

• Points secured in various dances by each school Will be cumulated to get the overall score.

• The school which has secured highest score will be selected as winner of overall trophy.

Venue of Competition:

• Various School Auditoriums during 15-16 March 2018

•10:00 am to 04.30 pm

• With the lunch break between 01.00 to 02.00pm
