Hack-E-Thon 2018

Incubation Centre IIT Patna (ICIITP), is conducting a Hackathon in Sep,2018. Students, members of faculty or other innovators are invited to participate in this exciting event.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHALLENGE

The objectives of the hackathon are to identify solutions for relevant problems existing in various sectors prevalent in the rural and urban community. The selected outcomes will be given an opportunity to get evaluated for Incubation at Incubation Centre IIT Patna, with a seed funding of up to Rs. 10 Lakhs.

WELL-DEFINED THEMES/ PROBLEM STATEMENTS

The participants will be required to work on any of the following five problem statements.

Affordable and effective assistive device for the physically challenged.
Portable, power efficient and cost effective medical diagnostics devices.
Innovative devices for waste management.
Innovative devices for human safety and disaster management.
Any innovative ideas in the field of Medical electronics.

SELECTION PROCESS

Preliminary Scrutiny : In case of many applications, a preliminary scrutiny will be done by a committee of ICIITP to shortlist top 10 applications for the final rounds

Winner Selection : Winner of the hackathon will be decided by a jury, consisting of expert members, appointed by Incubation Centre IIT Patna. The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

Winner announcement: 9th Sep 10.00am

Application Process Online, Register on or before last date of registration i.e. 30 June 2018 on My Gov Website.

AWARDS

Winning team will take home a cash prize of Rs 20,000/-, Certificate and will receive the opportunity to pitch for Incubation before the Project Evaluation Team of IC IIT Patna.

Upto two runner up teams will receive cash prize of Rs 10,000/-, Certificate and opportunity to pitch for Incubation before the Project Evaluation Team of IC IIT Patna.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Who can apply : All students, members of faculty or other innovators.
How to apply : Register on link given below on or before last date of registration on MyGov Website.
Team Size : Minimum of 2 members, maximum of 4 members.
Lodging and Boarding : Will be provided on campus.
Travel reimbursements: Upto 3rd AC train fair in the shortest route from the city specified in the registration form to Patna will be provided to the team on production of travel documents in original.
Other terms: Incubation Centre IIT Patna reserve the right to make modifications to any or all aspects of Hackathon without individual notification or prior notice. Decisions of ICIIT Patna in this regard will be final and binding and ICIITP will not be liable for any loss or damage caused due to such decisions.
