A National Workshop on Cyber Security is being organised by Niti Aayog on December 18-19, 2017, at Kothari Auditorium, DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi. As a part of this workshop a National Level Capture-The-Flag (CTF) competition is being held. CTFis a special kind of information security competition in which information security experts and students who are interested in cyber security will take part to find the flag by solving the given challenges. These challenges will test the information Security and Cyber Security based skills of the competitors.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

The preliminary round consists of challenges (online) covering various topics such as

Steganography
Forensic
Web
Crypto
Binary exploitation
Final rounds will be conducted offline.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Should be a citizen of India
• Candidates can participate either as an individual or as a team of atleast 2 members including Team Leader
• No age limits

PARTICIPATION PROCEDURE

• Register your team on the registration form
• The challenges will be open on the specified date
• Login with your credential and access the challenges
• Submit the flag to get points
• Selected teams will be announced via email

Cyber Challenge is an online contest where all Indian citizens can participate. It will be a single stage online event running for 24 hours. The participants have to solve a set of problems with different weightages/marks depending on the complexity of the problem. The participants can solve problems in any order with the ultimate aim of scoring the maximum marks.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA & RULES

All Indian citizens are eligible to participate.
There are no teams, i.e., every participant has to take part individually.
A declared winner who cannot provide documents to establish Indian citizenship holds no claim to any prize whatsoever. In such a case, her name will be removed from the list and the next lower in the list will take her place.
The participant has to arrange all resources on his own and DRDO will not be responsible for any hardware/network failures etc. at the participant’s end.
In case of tie in scores, the participant who has taken least amount of time(counted from start of the event at 1200 hrs) will be declared winner.

IMPORTANT DATES

Registration Start Date: 22nd November, 2017
Registration End Date: 13th December, 2017
Online Challenge: 16 December 2017 (1200 hrs) to 17 December 2017 (1200 hrs)

PRIZES

Cash Prize will be awarded to top five scorers. The details are as follows:

First Prize Rs 25000/-
Second Prize Rs 20000/-
Third Prize Rs 15000/-
Fourth Prize Rs 10000/-
Fifth Prize Rs 5000/-
Next top 50 scorers will be given DRDO tokens.
All awardees will also be given certificates in recognition of their achievement.
