Green Your School 2018 - A Nation Wide Challenge for Young Minds

Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), part of CII in its efforts to instill sense of Green in young mids has launched Green Schools Programme. As part of this initiative, the council is organising an annual programme - "Green Your School".

Who can Participate?

Students of Class VIII to XII

What is to be done?

• IDENTIFY TOP 1 0 GREEN IDEAS FOR IMPLEMENTATION IN THE SCHOOL
• CAPTURE THE IDEAS IN POWER POINT PRESENTATION AND INDICATE NEED INVESTMENT REQUIRED BENEFITS FOR EACH IDEA
• SEND THE FINAL PRESENTATION TO IGBC ON OR BEFORE THE STIPULATED DATE

Guildelines

• 3 students & 1 teacher shall form a team from each school.
• IGBC Green Schools Rating System is recommended for reference.
• The participating schools may download IGBC Green Schools rating system and previous year's
• winners' presentation from www.igbc.in
• The presentation can be sent through email/ online transfer such as 'We transfer'
• (http://wetransfer.com)
• Submissions only in power point presentation are considered for evaluation. Any other formats
• (words/drawings/ paintings) would not be considered for evaluation.
• Schools just submitting documentation of entire rating system in any of the formats/ general
• messages about green schools are disqualified for evaluation
• Travel & accommodation for top three finalists would be arranged by CII-IGBC

Confirmation from school regarding participation is 15 August 2018

Last Date for receiving submissions is 2 October 2018

Cash Awards

8 schools would be shortlisted for awards

INR 4.0 lakh per school for top three schools towards implementations

INR 1.5 lakh per school for five schools towards implementation
