There is no limitation on the number of participations from one institute. (i.e. any number of students can participate from one institute).

Ideate for India – creative solutions using technology, is a National level challenge conceptualised by National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and Intel India for all students studying in classes 6 to 12 pan India.

The aim of this challenge is to give the young students of our country a platform and an opportunity to become solution creators for the problems they see around them and their communities

5 residential boot camps will be organised across North, South, East, West and North- East India

Mentoring will be provided post boot camp to ensure the ideas mature as prototypes
50 students will get selected and invited to a national event for showcasing the prototypes implemented in communities

Poornodaya Book Trust and P K Balakrishnapilla Foundation organising an essay contest for students of high school and higher secondary school in Kerala.

Sardar VAllabbhai Patel Intentional School of Textiles and Management, Coimbatore is organizing "inQUIZitive' 2019" an inter-school competition for students of Classes XI and XII (preferably Science group).

Prelims will be conducted at the respective schools.
The final round will be conducted in SVPITM on 23 January 2019.

Techathon Weekend Challenges Participant must be a registered Student of a School
Rule #2
Participants will get 15 minutes to solve maximum quizzes
Rule #3
Participants can play Techathon Weekend Challenges every Sat 8:00 pm to Sun 8:00 pm
Rule #4
Participants can enjoy playing the Inter-City Competition which will be held on 30th and 31st January, 2019 respectively
Rule #5
Winners can Redeem their respective gems & acquire FAVOURITE goodies available from the WhizStore
Rule #6
Participant will be suspended if there is any discrepancy or if he/she fails the verification and authentication process

Rewards
City Level

Top Three City Student Winners from a City with minimum Participation of 100 Students will be winning 5000, 2500 and 1250 gems respectively.

State Level

RULES FOR THE EVENTS
1. FINDING YOUNG SCIENTIST
MAX 4 TEAMS (HS - 1/ HSS - 3) [2 Members per Team]
Projects can be submitted in one of the following four categories
I .Biological & Ecological Sciences
2.Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences
3.Social & Behavioral Sciences
4.Current Technologies.
• Explains the problem and how it impacts them.
• Describes a new innovation or solution that could impact or solve the problem.
• Explains the Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics behind their innovation.
• Illustrates how their innovation could address the everyday problem.

2. WEALTH OUT OF WASTE
MAX 3 TEAMS (HS - 1/ HSS - 2) [2 Members per Team]
• Effort and creativity are important.
• Materials should be brought by the participants.
• It is a one-hour competition.
• Creates awareness among youth how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
• Materials should be eco-friendly.
• Judging criteria: Presentation, Creativity, Concept and the final look of the product.

3. DRAWING
MAX 4 MEMBERS [Pencil DrawingHS-l/HSS-1, Painting HS-1/HSS-1]
TOPIC: On Spot [Charts will be provided]
• Acceptable tools of drawing I paintjng include pencil, water color, etc.
• Photographs, wires, and other 3D objects are not acceptable.
• The drawing I painting must not include words or slogans.
• Participant Name & School's name and address must be clearly mentionedon the.back of
poster in the English Language.
• No text (including theme title, name etc) should be written on the front of the poster.

4. ESSAYWRITING
MAX 3 MEMBERS [English HS-1/HSS-1, Tamil HSS-1]
TOPIC: On Spot [Content will be provided]
• Maximum time limit - 30 Minutes.
• Sheets will be provided to participants to write. Participants need to carry their pen or any
other stationary.
• Participants need to ensure that they use good diction with original and interesting idea.
• They must also ensure the content of essay should be versed with the topic and should be
logically organized and written in clear words. Include a purposeful conclusion.
• Quotations should be acknowledged in the reference.

5. DEBATE
MAX 4 TEAMS {English HS.-1/HSS-l, Malayalam HS-1/HSS-1] 4 Members per Team
TOPIC:
• Each team will have 5 Minutes to prepare before speech.
• Duration of a Speaker should be 5 Minutes or 7 Minutes max.
• Questions should primarily focused on arguments developed in the speech of your opponent.
• Once the questioning has begun, neither the questioner nor his opponent may consult colleague.
• A void Repetition of points.

The Hindu in School in association with Kokuyo Camlin presents "Lets Make Learning Fun", an art contest for school students.

How to Participate?
Create an artwork on the topic "Christmas Themed Art" on a plain A4 size sheet, using the Camlin colour range.
Use of sketch pens prohibited.

Scan the artwork and send to camlincolourcontest@thehindu.co.in along with a passport size photograph as a separate attachment.
Mention name, class, school (with branch) and city/location in the scanned copy as well as the email without fail.
The size of the attachment should not exceed 2MB

Last Date: 21 December 2018 4 pm

Prizes: There are five first, five second, five third and 50 consolation prizes to be won.
The top 65 winners will be given gift hampers from Camlin.
