GENERAL RULES
There will be individual participation.
The participants shall report at the venue hall by sharp 8: 30 a.m.
No formal dressing is required. However, it would be appreciated for wearing an attire similar to the politician of their constituency, carried in decent manner.
Participants may use bilingual language during their speech.
Constituencies would be allotted anonymously.
There is no limitation on the number of participations from one institute. (i.e. any number of students can participate from one institute).
Participants should seek confirmation of their registration prior one week of the event.
Participants creating any kind of indiscipline shall be disqualified on the discretion of the judges.
Participants thereby should adhere by the rules and regulations of the event.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0: Contest for Students, Teachers and Parents

It is that time of the year again when many young friends among us will be appearing for board examinations and other entrance examinations. Last year during Pariksha Pe Charcha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with several students from across the country. The test will be an objective type test (not a written test) to be completed within the duration of 1 hour using the OMR (Optical Mark Reader) format

Ideate for India – creative solutions using technology’ - National Challenge

Ideate for India – creative solutions using technology, is a National level challenge conceptualised by National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and Intel India for all students studying in classes 6 to 12 pan India.

The aim of this challenge is to give the young students of our country a platform and an opportunity to become solution creators for the problems they see around them and their communities

Eligibility
All school students from classes 6 – 12 across India.

Phases
The challenge will have three phases

PHASE I
Students access online learning content
Submit their Idea through a 90 seconds video sharing proposed solution in any of the 11 core theme areas
Receive an online participation certificate for viewing featured learning content and appreciation certificate for idea submission
An external panel of judges and mentors evaluate the submitted ideas
10 students per State/ UT get selected
Total 360 students get invited for phase II
PHASE II
5 residential boot camps will be organised across North, South, East, West and North- East India
Each camp will be of 4 days with face to face judging interviews
Mentoring will be provided post boot camp to ensure the ideas mature as prototypes
50 students will get selected and invited to a national event for showcasing the prototypes implemented in communities
PHASE III
Top 50 students attend and present prototypes at the national showcasing event and will be declared as Tech Creation Champions

Once all details have been filled, recheck them and then click on the Register button at the end of the form.
A verification mail will be sent to the email address mentioned by you in the registration form once you register
Open your registered email account to verify your account. If you do not see the verification mail in the inbox, please check in your spam messages inbox
The verification mail has a link ‘Verify your mail’. Once you click on this link, you will be automatically redirected to the challenge page. Now you have successfully registered as a participant for the National Challenge.

As soon as the process is completed, a welcome mail will be sent to the verified email address.

How to Submit Idea
After you create a 90 second video which showcases your idea for tech creation, please save it on your desktop/ computer and/or mobile phone
Upload the video on YouTube with your official account. To know how to upload a video on YouTube, please click here
Now visit the challenge website – https://negd.gov.in/ | https://www.digitalindia.gov.in/ - log in with your registered email address and password and click on “Submit your idea” button on right side of the Homepage.
You will be redirected to ‘Submit your Idea’ Page.
Fill in the details as asked along with the YouTube URL of your video. Once you finish filling in all the details in the form please click on ‘Submit’ button.
If you would like to think more, make changes in your idea video and submit later - you can save it for now using “Save as Draft” button and come back again and submit it later.
Video cannot be edited or resubmitted once you click on the submit button

  •  Photographs should be digital (for example: JPEG format) and capable of being transferred to a computer. Akshaya Patra will not be responsible for any compatibility issues that may arise.
  •  The file size must not exceed MB, with a minimum resolution of pixels.
  •  Akshaya Patra shall not be liable for any error in uploading the photographs for the contest.
  •  Any direct or indirect expenses incurred by the participant while participating in the contest shall be borne solely by the participant and Akshaya Patra shall not be responsible for the same.
  •  All the photographs will be judged on the basis of content, composition, sensitivity, creativity and style.
  •  Both colour as well as black-and-white photographs will be accepted in the contest.
  •  Objects should not be added to or removed from the frame in order to enhance the shot.
  •  Participants will not be allowed to see other competing entries.
  •  The photograph must not be manipulated.
  •  Multiple exposures, composite images, sandwich shots and photographs which consist in any way of more than one separate image or which have been manipulated, are not eligible.
  •  Photographs submitted must be entirely original and taken by the participant.
  •  Akshaya Patra reserves the unconditional right to use the photographs for non-commercial electronic and print communication material.
  •  The prize is not exchangeable for any product or item. It is non-transferable and cannot be encashed under any circumstances.
  •  The photographs submitted by the participant shall neither be in violation of any third-party Intellectual Property Right or any other law, nor shall they be defamatory/obscene/vulgar, detrimental to national interest, prejudicial to the interest of The Akshaya Patra Foundation or society in general. Akshaya Patra reserves the right to reject such entries.

• Effort and creativity are important.
• Materials should be brought by the participants.
• It is a one-hour competition.
• Creates awareness among youth how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
• Materials should be eco-friendly.
• Judging criteria: Presentation, Creativity, Concept and the final look of the product.

3. DRAWING
MAX 4 MEMBERS [Pencil DrawingHS-l/HSS-1, Painting HS-1/HSS-1]
TOPIC: On Spot [Charts will be provided]
• Acceptable tools of drawing I paintjng include pencil, water color, etc.
• Photographs, wires, and other 3D objects are not acceptable.
• The drawing I painting must not include words or slogans.
• Participant Name & School's name and address must be clearly mentionedon the.back of
poster in the English Language.
• No text (including theme title, name etc) should be written on the front of the poster.

4. ESSAYWRITING
MAX 3 MEMBERS [English HS-1/HSS-1, Tamil HSS-1]
TOPIC: On Spot [Content will be provided]
• Maximum time limit - 30 Minutes.
• Sheets will be provided to participants to write. Participants need to carry their pen or any
other stationary.
• Participants need to ensure that they use good diction with original and interesting idea.
• They must also ensure the content of essay should be versed with the topic and should be
logically organized and written in clear words. Include a purposeful conclusion.
• Quotations should be acknowledged in the reference.

5. DEBATE
MAX 4 TEAMS {English HS.-1/HSS-l, Malayalam HS-1/HSS-1] 4 Members per Team
TOPIC:
• Each team will have 5 Minutes to prepare before speech.
• Duration of a Speaker should be 5 Minutes or 7 Minutes max.
• Questions should primarily focused on arguments developed in the speech of your opponent.
• Once the questioning has begun, neither the questioner nor his opponent may consult colleague.

How to Participate?
Create an artwork on the topic "Christmas Themed Art" on a plain A4 size sheet, using the Camlin colour range.
Use of sketch pens prohibited.

Scan the artwork and send to camlincolourcontest@thehindu.co.in along with a passport size photograph as a separate attachment.
