Fair and Lovely Foundation Education Scholarship 2012

The Foundation has invited applications from girls across the country for the Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarship 2012 that allows them to pursue higher education.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates should have secured minimum 60% in the 10th and 12th standard Scholarship is open only to women with Indian citizenship - age no bar
Candidates should want to pursue graduation, post graduation and PhD studies from Government recognised Indian Universities
Scholarship will be awarded solely as per the discretion of the panel of judges depending on the candidate's family income  without prior notice


How to apply?
To apply for the scholarships you can either download the application form and courier it to the below mentioned address or you can fill it online.


The downloaded form needs to be duly filled and couriered along with below mentioned documents to:

Documents for the application
1 attested photocopy of mark sheets and certificates.
2 passport size photographs.
1 attested photocopy of family income proof.
1 attested photocopy of admission proof.
1 copy of statement of purpose – which is an essay of not more than 250-300 words about yourself, your ambition in life and how you will achieve it.
Renewal of Scholarship
Past beneficiaries of the Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarships can now renew their scholarships for more assistance in further education.

Udayan Shalini Fellowships

Udayan in Sanskrit signifies 'eternal sunrise'. Shalini means 'a dignified woman'. Udayan Shalini Fellowships is  an academic excellence and personality development  programme for girls from weak socio-economic  backgrounds. It provides financial assistance for higher education, mentoring and leadership development  through workshops, while facilitating a sense of social responsibility and aims to turn them into dignified  women..   This programme, which focuses on Education and Personality Development of its recipients, was launched in
August 2002. Currently, it covers Delhi (2002), Kurukshetra (2004), Kolkata & Dehradun (2007), Aurangabad  (2008) and Phagwara (2012).

ELIGIBILITY:-
1. Female Indian citizen, permanent resident of Delhi / Kurukshetra / Kolkata / Dehradun / Aurangabad & Phagwara.  
2. Candidates are required to obtain admission to the desired school, prior to seeking Fellowship.
3. The applicant should be in class 11 th  from Government school.
 4.  Minimum marks required for academic courses are 60% in class 10 th .
5. Total income of the family members/ guardian not to exceed Rs. 96, 000/- per year. 

SELECTION PROCESS:-
• Application to be made on the prescribed form. Last date of the receipt of form is 31 st  July. Application  forms can be collected from our office or downloaded from our website (www.udayancare.org) from 1 st July onwards.
• All applications shall be screened on NAT Parameters.
• Short-listed candidates shall be called for a written test by the selection committee. Venue of written test for  Delhi: Mahavir Senior Model School, Opp. Nanak Piao Gurudwara, G. T. Karnal Road, Delhi  110033. For the other state, kindly contact to respective offices.
• Those who qualify the written test are interviewed along with their parents / guardian.
• Home visit will be conducted for those who qualify in the interview
• Those selected would be called for induction and orientation.
• The selection will be done by the Udayan Shalini Fellowship core committee
FELLOWSHIP AMOUNT: 
• Senior Secondary School (Class 11th  & 12th  ) Rs.8000/- per year in four equal installments
