Eligibility:
The fellowship is open for candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil/Polymer/Engineering or Technology or hold a Master's degree in an allied discipline with a good academic record (with a GATE/CSIR-NET qualified score) with a minimum of 60% marks. They must have a valid GATE score.

Cultural Survival is pleased to announce its fourth call for proposals for the Indigenous Community Media Youth Fellowship which supports Indigenous youth communicators in building their capacity as radio broadcasters and journalists through specific training, community radio visits and exchanges, radio production, conference attendance, and other educational opportunities. Applicants must reside in one of the following countries: Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Nepal and northern India.

ICHR Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), 2020-2021

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the JRF of ICHR. Printout of the online

The selected fellows will be awarded fellowship of Rs. 17600/- (Rupees seventeen thousand and six hundred only) per month plus contingency grant of Rs. 16500/- (Rupees sixteen thousand and five hundred only) per annum for a period of Two years.
A. The maximum number of Junior Research Fellowships to be awarded for 2020-2021 are eighty
(80) only, applying the usual reservation for SC, ST & PwD.
B. The Fellowship is a whole-time engagement for research work and cannot be combined with

The IITM - Summer Fellowship Programme of two months with stipend is designed to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities students through a goal oriented summer mini-project undertaken at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Eligibility: Candidates pursuing Third Year of B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg) / Integrated M.E. / M.Tech. programme, First Year of ME / M.Tech. / M.Sc. / M.A, MBA with outstanding academic background in terms of high ranks in university examinations are encouraged to apply, highlighting their academic performance and achievement including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained. [IIT students are not eligible to apply].

Period of the Project: Duration of the programme may commence from 16th May 2018 to 15th July 2018. (Schedule may be flexible to suit student’s convenience.)

Stipend: A sum of Rs.6000/- per month will be given as a stipend for a maximum period of 2 months.

Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) at JNCASR

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research invites applications for its Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2018, for motivated and talented students in Science and Engineering, studying in India.

INTRODUCTION

The Centre offers summer fellowships for two months to bright undergraduate and MSc students studying in India. This programme has proved to be popular and competitive; each year, about 2000 students from all over India apply for the 50-60-80 fellowships awarded. All the fellowships are supported by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Students are placed with research groups at JNCASR or with scientists elsewhere in India. They are paid travel expenses and a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000. Selected students get the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research, and several summer projects have led to publications in leading journals. Many of the summer students of past years have gone on to pursue graduate studies and a research career, at the JNCASR or at another leading university.

RESEARCH AREAS:

Life Sciences:Infectious and non-infectious diseases, bioinformatics, developmental biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, genetics, life-history evolution, circadian biology, animal behaviour, behavioural ecology, evolutionary genetics, experimental evolution, population dynamics, phylogeography, neurophysiology, behavioural neurobiology and behavioural genetics and cell biology. materials sciences: Nano sciences, energy and green materials.

Chemical Sciences:Solid state chemistry, theoretical and computational chemistry, organic, physical and inorganic chemistry, organic and asymmetric synthesis, medicinal and bio-organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry and chemistry of nanomaterials, renewable energy and healthcare related materials chemistry.

Physical Sciences: Condensed matter theory and experiment, statistical physics, semiconductor materials physics, biophysics, nano physics, organic electronics, computational materials science, soft matter, semiconductor interfaces, heterostructures, physical metallurgy and transmission electron microscopy.

Mathematics

MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:


  • Students who have secured not less than 80% in Maths and Science subjects in their 10th and 12th standard or equivalent examinations, and not less than first class in graduation and post graduation (if applicable).
  • Students presently studying in I and II year of B.Sc., I, II & III year of B.S., I, II & III year of B.E. /B.Tech., I year of M.Sc., and I-III year of Integrated M.Sc. can apply for Life Sciences.
  • Students presently studying in II & III year of B.Sc., II, III & IV year B.S., II, III & IV year of B.E/B.Tech., I year of M.Sc. and I-III year of Integrated M.Sc. can apply for Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Mathematics.
  • Students presently IV year of BS-MS, I year of M.Sc. and IV year of Int. M.Sc. can apply for Materials Sciences and Chemical Sciences.
  • The students selected under this programme are placed with scientists at the Centre or elsewhere in India, for 2 continuous months with a stipend of Rs. 6000 /- p.m and travel support as per Centre’s norms.

Udayan Shalini Fellowships

Udayan in Sanskrit signifies 'eternal sunrise'. Shalini means 'a dignified woman'. Udayan Shalini Fellowships is  an academic excellence and personality development  programme for girls from weak socio-economic  backgrounds. It provides financial assistance for higher education, mentoring and leadership development  through workshops, while facilitating a sense of social responsibility and aims to turn them into dignified  women..   This programme, which focuses on Education and Personality Development of its recipients, was launched in
August 2002. Currently, it covers Delhi (2002), Kurukshetra (2004), Kolkata & Dehradun (2007), Aurangabad  (2008) and Phagwara (2012).

ELIGIBILITY:-
1. Female Indian citizen, permanent resident of Delhi / Kurukshetra / Kolkata / Dehradun / Aurangabad & Phagwara.  
2. Candidates are required to obtain admission to the desired school, prior to seeking Fellowship.
3. The applicant should be in class 11 th  from Government school.
 4.  Minimum marks required for academic courses are 60% in class 10 th .
5. Total income of the family members/ guardian not to exceed Rs. 96, 000/- per year. 

SELECTION PROCESS:-
• Application to be made on the prescribed form. Last date of the receipt of form is 31 st  July. Application  forms can be collected from our office or downloaded from our website (www.udayancare.org) from 1 st July onwards.
• All applications shall be screened on NAT Parameters.
• Short-listed candidates shall be called for a written test by the selection committee. Venue of written test for  Delhi: Mahavir Senior Model School, Opp. Nanak Piao Gurudwara, G. T. Karnal Road, Delhi  110033. For the other state, kindly contact to respective offices.
• Those who qualify the written test are interviewed along with their parents / guardian.
