GEV Memorial Merit Scholarship 2020-21 for Law Students

GEV Scholarship Fund Trust invites applications from students pursuing law courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level in India. The scholarship aims to provide financial support to meritorious law students and help them pursue a quality legal education at premier Indian institutes. 

Eligibility:
The scholarship is open for Indian nationals only. They must be already enrolled in any year of an LLB/LLM degree course at a recognized law institute in India or applying for CLAT, LSAT-India, AILET, or any other law entrance exam in 2021. The students are required to have scored a minimum of 60% in Class X and XII board exams. They must have an annual family income not more than INR 10,00,000 (10 lakh) from all sources. Also, they must be willing to sign-up for scholarship fund’s annual mentorship programs to assist and nurture the next batches of GEV Merit Scholars.

Prizes & Rewards:
INR 50,000 to INR 2,00,000 per year

 Guidelines for Submission
Authorship and Registration
· In the competition, co-authorship is permitted.
However, the co-author has to register separately.
· No individual will be the author of more than one Paper. If any individual authors more than one
Paper, then all such Papers will be disqualified.
· Only original Papers will be considered for the Competition. No part of it should have been
published earlier and it should not be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification of Paper.

 Prizes
· Best Research Paper- ₹15,000/-
· Second Best Research Paper- ₹10,000/
· Third Best Research Paper- ₹5,000/-
· The name of the winner will be displayed on the RGNUL Website. Separate intimation will also be
provided to all the winners.
· The winners will be given the prizes on the Prize Distribution function, the exact date and location
of which shall be announced later.· Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all participants.

Essay Competition on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code

About the Competition:

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) believes that the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 as a modern regime at its nascent stage will be a great resource for researchers and academics to understand in detail the change that is in the offing. In this spirit and to create awareness about the insolvency and bankruptcy regime amongst the students of higher education, the IBBI is promoting an essay competition through institutes of learning.

Under the said scheme the Centre for Corporate Law Studies is organising an essay competition for the students of ILNU.

Theme:

"Emerging Jurisprudence on Corporate Insolvency"

Prize:

Best essay will receive INR 10000/-

Second best essay will receive INR 5000

All other participants shall receive Certificate of Participation.

GENERAL RULES
National Bill Analysis Competition, 2018

Bill to be analysed: The National Sports Ethics Commission Bill, 2016.
Registration:
Participation in The National Bill Analysis Competition, 2018 is open to all students pursuing three year LL.B. or Five year integrated law course from any recognised University / Institute /College.
The participation is restricted to 20 entries only. The registration will be on first come, first serve Teams may register online on or before 26th February, 2018, 5.00 pm by sending an e-mail stating the same to 'deslrc2018@gmail.com'
Team may be of an individual student or of maximum two students.
Registration Fee for the Bill Analysis Competition is Rs. 7001- (Per student)
This Fee shall be non-refundable.
A maximum of Two Teams from each college I university I institute shall be permitted.
The email for registration must entail-
~ Scanned copy of the Registration Form.
~ Scanned copy of the Demand Draft in favour of 'D.E.S. Shri. Navalmal
Firodia Law College', Payable at Pune.
~ Duly filled Travel Form.
Participants are required to submit the Hard Copy ofthe Registration Form and the Demand Draft only on the day of the Competition.

Last Date for Submission of Soft Copies of Written Submission (Analysis), Power Point Presentation and Scanned copy of Demand Draft: 26 February, 2018.

Conduct of the Competition:
The language of the competition is English.
Individual or Co-Authored (max.2) participation is allowed.
Once the analysis is submitted, no modification of any form shall be allowed.
Identity, logo, mark or name of the college I university I institution must not be inscribed anywhere on the analysis or the Power Point presentation. Any violation of this rule shall lead to immediate disqualification.
Participants must dress in appropriate formal attire and must carry their college I university I institution I-D Cards for registration purposes

Written Submissions:
The written submissions of the Analysis must contain:
i. Cover Page (White) stating the name ofthe competition and the name of the Bill analysed.
ii. Table of Contents.
iii. Abstract of Analysis-not exceeding lOOwords.
iv. Analysis- not exceeding 2000words.
Analysis must be inclusive of, but not limited to:
i. General Features of the Bill.
ii. Relevance of the subject-matter.
iii. Current laws pertaining to it.
iv. Analysis of proposed bill.
v. Suggestions in that behalf.

ii. Effectiveness ofPresentation
iii. Responses to judge's queries
iv. Overall Performance

 1" ( 2.54cm) margin on all sides.
Header stating the name of the competition and name of the Bill in Italics.
Page Numbers at the bottom, right hand comer of the page
Participants may follow any one uniform method of citation.
Appropriate references and end-notes must be included.
Hard Copy to be submitted on A4 sized white pages, stapled (not bound in any form) and printed on both sides.
Files or folders for the hard copies are not required.

Awards:
Winner- Trophy+ Cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
Runner Up- Trophy+ Cash prize of Rs. 7,000.
Runner Up- Trophy+ Cash Prize of Rs. 5000.

TOPIC - "RIGHT TO JUSTICE AND INSTITUTIONAL ADR MECHANISMS"

Eligibility
Participants must be a student of LLB/ICAI/ICSI/IMCI. Co-authorship is not permitted.

Participation fee is Rs. 200/-

Submissions should be neatly typed in size 12, font Times New Roman,double line space and not
exceeding1 ,500words in English Language, including annotations, citations, footnotes and a
bibliography. Sources from the internet must be identified clearly.

The paper must be submitted to BIMACCvia email onlytoevents.bimacc@gmail.com.

The paper must be accompanied by a covering email providing the participant's name, age, address, name of course and institution with ID proof and proof of payment of the entry fee, scanned copy of a passport size photograph, mobile no, and Facetime/Skype I D.
