National Level

Dhai Akhar National Level Letter Writing Campaign is a campaign organized by Department of Posts to promote the art of letter writing in the country. The theme/topic of the Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign is “Letter to my motherland / मेरे देश के नाम खत” inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s “Amar Desher Mati”.

Prize to be given to the winners in each Category at Circle Level:
First Prize in each Category: INR 25000/-
Second Prize in each Category: INR 10000/-
Third Prize in each Category: INR 5000/-

Prize to be given to the winners in each Category at National Level:
First Prize in each Category: INR 50000/-
Second Prize in each Category: INR 25000/-
Third Prize in each Category: INR 10000/-

International Level

The letter can be written on plain A-4 size paper with a word limit of not more than 1000 words and is to be sent to Assistant Director General (Philately), Department of Posts, Room No. 108, Dak Bhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi - 110001. Only handwritten letters posted by 31-10-2018 will be accepted. A scanned copy of the letter can be submitted on the MyGov portal by 31-10-2018 (23:59 IST); however, it is compulsory that a hard copy of the letter bearing dispatch postmark of not later than 31-10-2018 be sent by post. Letters uploaded on the MyGov portal on 31-10-2018 but bearing a postmark after 31-10-2018 will not be entertained.

All Non-resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin living outside India can participate in the International Level Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign.

Prize to be given in each Category at International Level:
First Prize in each Category: INR 50000/-
Second Prize in each Category: INR 25000/-
Third Prize in each Category: INR 10000/-

India Post is organising an All India Letter Writing Competition "Dhai Akhar" on the following theme.

The competition is open to all age groups

Categories

The categories for National Level Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign are as follows:

Up to 18 years:
Inland Letter Card Category
Envelope Category

Above 18 years:
Inland Letter Card Category
Envelope Category

The letter can be written on plain A-4 size paper and will not be more than 1000 words or in an Inland Letter Cad (ILC) where it will not be more than 500 words

Letter can be written in English/Hind/Local language

Best 03 (three) in a Circle in each category will be shortlisted and will be sent to the Directorate. Out of these, best 03 letters will be chosen in each of the categories and these letters will be sent to Sabarmati Ashram by special messenger. Writers of these letters will be awarded in a function in Sabarmati Ashram on 2nd of October 2018, where a letter exhibition will be held showcasing letters from exhibitors, letters written by eminent personalities and of archival/historical significance, letters from small children, important letters from Government offices to people and vice versa, letters exchanged between eminent personalities etc.

Prizes
The All India Best Writers in each category will be given an honorary title of "Patron of Post". The prize winning letters will be published in important newspapers. The award will be as follows:-
(A) First Prize in each category and Rs. 50,000/- (Patron of Post)
(B) Second Price in each category and Rs. 25,000/-(Companion of Post)
(C) Third Price in each category and Rs. 10,000/- (Post Pal)

ढाई आखर पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगगिा 15.06.2018 से प्रार भ होगी और इस प्रतियोगगिा के अ िगगि पत्र भेजे जाने की अ तिम तिगि 30.09.2018 है। 30.09.2018 के बाद प्रेषिि ककए गए पत्रों को स् वीकार नही ककया जाएगा। उक् ि पत्र की स् कैन प्रति माई गव (MyGov) पोर्गल पर 30.09.2018 िक भेजी जा सकिी है, ििाषप यह अतनवायग है कक इस पत्र की हस्िललखखि प्रति डाक के माध् यम से भी भेजी जाए, जजस पर डाक प्रेिण की मुहर 30.09.2018 के बाद की नही होनी चाहहए। ढाई आखर पत्र लेखन प्रतियोगगिा का षववरण तनम् नानुसार है :-
