9th Annual Space Foundation International Student Art Contest

Each year, the Space Foundation International Student Art Contest invites students, ages 3 – 18, from around the world to submit original artwork based on a space-oriented theme.

The theme this year is: "Where Will Your Spaceship Take You?"

Register

Only Teachers, Parents or Legal Guardians may register to submit art work on behalf of their students. You must be at least 18 years old to register.

Winning artwork will be displayed on the Space Foundation website and at the Space Foundation Headquarters and Discovery Center. It also will be viewed by space professionals from around the world during the 35th Space Symposium, April 8 - 11, 2019, at The Broadmoor Hotel, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.


Winners will be announced on or before January 19, 2019.

Guidelines
The Entry must:
i. depict the Eligible Participant’s interpretation of the theme, “Where Will Your Spaceship Take You?” (the “Theme”);
ii. be an original work of art in any of the following media/formats: drawing, painting, mixed-media or digital;
iii. ideally be of an original artwork size of 18” x 24”, but required to be no smaller than 11” x 17” and no larger than 18”x 24”;
iv. be uploaded to the Web Site in high-resolution (300dpi) digital format using either of the file types: .jpg or .png;
v. have a minimum resolution of at least 2400 pixels x 2400 pixels;
vi. have a maximum size of no more than 10 Mb;
vii. not contain copyrighted material;
viii. not contain threatening, offensive, or abusive material;

ix. be otherwise in full compliance with these Official Rules.

The deadline to submit artwork is November 19, 2018.
