The Eightth World Biennial of Student Poster Contest

8th World Biennial of Student Poster. competition is organised by the University of Novi Sad and the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.

Eligibility
Open to all undergraduate and graduate students of art colleges where the discipline of poster art is a part of the curriculum.

Free subject: posters made during the last two school years as a part of the curriculum.
Only students at academies and colleges of arts where the discipline of poster art is part of the curriculum have the right to participate at the competition. One can take part with three works at most.

HOW TO APPLY:
All received posters will become a part of a special Biennial's collection at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and can be used in didactic purposes. They will be presented at the Biennial's web site. By filling in the application form, the entrants accept the terms of the organizer of the Biennial exhibition.
The Selection Board is entitled to reject those works that are not in agreement with the undisputed world standards on human rights to identity, nation, religion, language and the like. The organizers of the Biennial have no authorities to transfer any rights to third party in the sense of using and reproduction of works from the Biennial. The entrants accept that their work can be used in non-commercial purposes as well as in the promotion of the Biennial.

HOW TO SUBMIT
Poster entries MUST be submitted via this website as digital files, using the online ENTRY FORM.
ENTRY GUIDELINES
All posters must be submitted digitally through the Web site.
Convert your Poster files to meet these condition:
JPG - quality 10, CMYK - 8 Bits/channel, 3900 pixels on the longer side
or
PDF - CMYK, 70 x 100 cm, 100 pixels/inch
In both cases, the file size must not exceed 12 MB
DO NOT SEND PRINTED COPIES. The WBESP will make print-outs for jury review, as well as exhibition prints of winning posters.

DEADLINE: All entries must be received by 16th November 2018. There will be no extensions.
There is no entry fee to the Biennial competition.
Each student can participate with three (3) posters.

AWARDS AND PRIZES
The 1st prize winner gets the right to organize a solo exhibition at the next Biennial with ten (10) posters an optional choice. The prizes and awards consist of: monetary prizes, plaques and certificates.

Typography Day 2019: Poster Design Competition

‘Dance of Typography’

Design a poster to represent ‘The Dance of Typography’

You can use 
- The Language, Script and Typeface of your choice. You can make use of one letter, one word, many words or even a paragraph composed of words.
- Calligraphic or digitally created letterforms or existing fonts, or a combination of these can be used for the poster.

The resulting poster should be of the size and specification given below.
This competition is open to students, faculty and professionals. The competition is open to all - non resident Indians, as well as foreign citizens can take part in it.

Selection procedure for winners:
Twenty five winning entries will be published as a book and displayed in an exhibition during the event. The winners are entitled to free participation (workshop expenses and food) during the ‘Typography Seminar and Workshop’ on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of March 2018.
Each of the winning participants will receive 2 copies of the book and will also be given the 'Certificate of Winning the Poster Competition'.

4th Poster Contest about Typography and Printing

The Museum of Typography, Crete, Greece, has the pleasure to announce the 4th International Poster Contest about Typography and Printing, as the greek word “ฯ„ฯ…ฯ€ฮฟฮณฯฮฑฯ†ฮฏฮฑ” to which the museum is dedicated, includes both arts.
The aim of the contest is to connect the present and future of graphic arts to typography, printing and their history

Eligibility
Open to all. Participants are mainly professionals and students of graphic and visual arts, as well as amateurs who can translate their ideas into posters.


The creators of the first three posters that will be distinguished, will also receive money awards:

For the winner 1.000 €

For the second 700 €

For the third 500 €

The thirty posters that will be distinguished by the jury will be presented at an exhibition, hosted at the amphitheater of the Museum for a year, until the next competition.

Participation terms:

1) All participants must send their creations by Sunday, May 13th 2018 by email to: typography.poster@gmail.com. It should be accompanied by a text file containing the following information: full name, place of residence and contact information (phone and email) and – optionally – a brief description of the project (up to 100 words). Both files should be named with the contestants full name in latin characters.

2) The poster dimensions must be 50×70 cm. PDF, CMYK, images at 200 ppi and not exceed 25 Mb. Otherwise it should be sent by wetransfer or other similar service.

3) The contest is open to anyone wishing to take part with a single (1) project. Employees of “Haniotika Nea SA” and “Museum of Typography” are excluded from the contest.

6)The results of the contest will be announced during the inauguration of the exhibition, that will take place in the amphitheatre of the “Museum of Typography”on Saturday 23 June 2018, at 7:30 pm. After the presentation of the exhibition the results will be announced on the website of the “Museum of Typography” www.typography-museum.gr, on its official facebook page www.facebook.com/MouseioTypographias, in the newspaper “Haniotika Nea” and on www.haniotika-nea.gr.

Regarding intellectual property rights:

1. Creators of the thirty projects that will be rewarded or receive honorary distinction declare that they do not maintain any intellectual property rights on the creations that they will deliver.

2. The “Museum of Typography” may reuse without damage the entire work submitted by the thirty creators mentioned above or part of it, freely for any purpose and in any way, unchanged or modified at its own discretion.

3. Participation in the contest automatically implies the acceptance of terms of the present notice of contest.

InoVIT - 2018: South India Level Science Contest for School Children

InoVIT is a science contest for school children launched by VIT University to create and encourage scientific innovations in the young minds at school level.

Note:
i) Posters must incorporate creative and original artwork and ideas. Depictions of cartoon, video game, and movie/television characters; celebrities; movie themes; and past poster designs do not constitute creativity and originality.
ii) Posters should not be laminated or mounted on mat board. Also, do not staple, glue, or tape entry forms to the backs of posters.
iii) The participant should write name, class and school at back of poster. They should refrain from writing their name or other identifying information on the front of their poster;
iv) Computer clip art, pictures from magazines and other print media or any other copyrighted brand or product images will not be accepted.
v) The participant should not work in pairs or groups. It should be an individual’s poster;
vi) By submitting a poster, participants give permission for their work to be displayed at various REC conferences, special events, in publications and promotional material, and in electronic format on the internet;
vii) All entries become the property of REC and cannot be returned;
viii) Failure to comply with the guidelines could result in a disqualification of the poster.
ix) The posters will be judged based on the following criteria:
1. In relation with the theme – 30%
2. Artistry – 10%
3. Creativity – 20%
4. Originality – 10%
5. Ability to communicate a clear and positive message – 30%
x) Participants must send in their posters on or before 24th October, 2017 to Chief Vigilance Officer, Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., Core-4, SCOPE Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110 003 along with certificate in following format from School Principal/Vice Principal.
“This is certified that Master/Ms. ___________ is a student of Class ______ of
_________________ School and she has made the poster without any assistance
from parent/teacher/students”.

3. Inter School ‘Integrity Club’ Logo Competition:
Children are future assets of the country and it is important to cultivate moral values in them. Therefore, REC plans to encourage establishment of ‘integrity club’ in schools with following objective:
Objective – Establish student led clubs were members can learn values such as honesty, integrity, patriotism, respect and non-violence as well as become a part of crusade against corruption through rising awareness regarding existence, causes and threats posed by corruption, collectively participating in prevention and fight against corruption and equipping themselves with skills and knowledge needed to be able to monitor projects and services in their communities. Activities of the club – The club is expected to perform a mix of class based, school based and community based activities which may include discussions on the topics they care about most, guest lectures, annual camps/excursions, film shows and case studies, discussions on latest happening, students participation in radio or TV programmes, Integrity bulletins/newsletter, training to students in a particular skill (for example, experts who train students on how to look at a budget, how to write a
request for information letter, use of social media etc.).
REC invites schools to participate in designing a ‘logo’ for this flagship programme.

World Food Day Poster Contest 2017

The World Food Day poster contest calls on children and teens from 5-19 to use their imaginations and express their ideas on the World Food Day theme: "Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development."

Three winners in each age category will be selected by the jury. The results will be announced on the World Food Day website and FAO social media. Winners will be promoted by FAO offices around the world and receive a surprise gift bag and Certificate of Recognition. They will also feature in an exhibition at FAO headquarters in Rome before the end of 2017.

Eligibility
The Contest is open to children and youth between the ages of 5 and 19, living anywhere in the world.

The age to declare in the entry form is the one at the time of entering the Contest. Minors must have the permission of their parents or legal guardians to participate in the Contest.

How to Participate

  • Participation is free of charge.
  • The competition is divided into the following categories: 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 15, and 16 to 19..
  • Only one entry should be submitted per person. Multiple entries from one person will result in disqualification. 
  • Poster entries may be drawn, painted or sketched using pens, pencils, crayons or charcoal, or using oil, acrylic or watercolour paint, as well as mixed media. Digitally created artwork is also permitted. No photographs are allowed.
  • Poster entries may or may not include text. If text is used, no more than 25 words or 100 characters can be accepted. For Chinese and Japanese languages, the maximum number of characters permitted is 40. Languages permitted include: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Italian and Japanese.
  • All artwork must be original and should not include photographic images of the Contestant or other personal information. 
  • All participants are encouraged to read about the World Food Day theme. Younger children may want to learn together with a parent or teacher. 
  • Posters can only be submitted using the entry form provided. All fields in the Contest entry form must be completed and after uploading the poster design, the SUBMIT button must be clicked. Younger children may need help from an adult in making their online submission.
  • Working on an A4 sheet or an 8 ½ inches by 11 inches sheet is recommended, to make it easier for you to scan and upload your poster design. If your poster is larger, you may have to take a digital photo of the work and upload the photo file. 
  • Only digital files saved as a JPEG will be accepted and submissions must be made through the online form provided – please do not send in physical posters. 
  • Only the shortlisted contestants will be notified by email by 27 November 2017.

Avanza Junior- Student Poster Competition

Avanza, a Spanish word for “get ahead” is an annual paper presentation contest, which AISAT has been conducting since its inception. This year, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering departments in AISAT are conducting Avanza Junior, giving an opportunity for school students to get acquainted with different technologies that has revolutionized social life. Contestants present posters about the Technology that has impressed them and participate in a technological quiz.

Student Poster Competition Rules
Phase 1
Two students from higher secondary (Plus one or Plus two) guided by physics teacher can register for the contest.
Each team should mail the abstract of the poster theme and duly filled entry form to avanzajunior@aisat.ac.in on or before 1st October 2015.
Abstract should be of 200 to 250 words. The format for abstract and entry form are available in the website.
Selected teams will be informed via E-mail on or before 16th October 2015.
Phase 2
Shortlisted teams should register by paying fees of Rs. 100 per team on or before 26th October 2015
Selected teams accompanied by physics teacher should report in the college at 9 am on 6th November 2015.
Teams can bring their designed poster in A1size paper. Printed posters are not permitted. The theme of the paper can be conveyed with aids like drawings, paper cuttings and short write-ups. Posters can be supported with still or working models or both.
10 minutes will be given for the oral presentation of the poster.
Phase 3
An objective test will be conducted on the theme.
The best seven teams will be selected for the quiz.
The total score of poster presentation and quiz will determine the WINNER.
